Cockle Bay

I spent a couple of nights in the Pyrmont area of Sydney, and headed out to take in the harbour area early in the morning. On my way to a cafe to grab some breakfast, I crossed the Pyrmont bridge, to be greeted by a steady stream of joggers and cyclists. It was something I noticed every day – Australia gave me the impression of being an active nation.

Cockle Bay has a monorail that loops the area, and has great views of the city.

The National Maritime Museum is also close by.

There’s lots of fountains in the area.

And parks being built.

And street art being drawn.

  1. Lovely to see our landmarks through someone else’s lens Mike. I’ve been wanting to get down to Darling Harbour or Cockle Bay to do some shots at dusk. Especially since I’m in this tiny HDR trip at the moment. Nice shots.

  2. Thanks guys. I was impressed with all the great seafood available too. I believe Sydney fish market is the second biggest in Asia, so it should be a fascinating place to visit.

Just a few weeks to go now!
